Lainey Mitelman: Director of Morale Dance

Major: Early Childhood Education

Graduating Year: 2024

My WHY: My pi-chi from my freshman year in college is specifically who got me involved with GC Miracle and morale, and for that I'm immensely grateful. I initially had no idea what I was signing up for but I liked the idea of getting to dance and have fun with others who are also passionate about making a difference in these kids' lives. Being a morale leader freshman-junior have been a major college highlight for me; I made so many friends, had SO much fun, and loved being a part of something much bigger than myself. This organization quickly became an automatic priority of mine and I knew I wanted to participate in it throughout the rest of my college years. Towards the end of my junior year, I had a gut feeling that I needed to be more involved in the organization for my senior year; I always wanted to be the Director of Morale Dance, but had not felt the confidence to apply until this past spring. I truly felt that it was something the Lord was pulling me to do- I have never had a stronger feeling of confidence and sense of direction as to what I was meant to do. I know that the Lord lead me to this role and organization for a reason and I am so honored to have this opportunity to serve through him. I have a heart for giving and serving others and being involved in GC Miracle gives me the opportunity to contribute towards something that is so important to my heart.

Most excited for this year: I cannot wait to help create a morale team, choreograph this dance, and make so many memories together. I just know that it's going to be such a good year full of many miracles!!

Fun Fact: I did competitive springboard and platform diving for 13 years!
